A Visit from Ardboe Credit Union
Mrs Devlin from Ardboe Credit Union kindly met with the P3 children today and chatted to them about the importance of opening a savings account. She encouraged the children to save their birthday and Christmas money in the credit union and to put any spare coins in a money box at home.
For children, saving money in their local credit union helps develop great habits and also teaches them the value of credit unions which are run by the community, for the community.
The children had the opportunity to ask Mrs Devlin questions about how the Credit Union operates and she was very impressed with their questions.
The Credit Union will continue to visit the school every Wednesday to collect any savings.
P3 would like to thank Mrs Devlin for her very informative presentation today.
