Our girls have had a busy few weeks with blitzes in both St Peter’s Moortown and in St Canice Dungiven.
In the St Peter’s Moortown blurs the girls got through to the final after playing Derrychrin, The Loup and St Peter’s Moortown. They played some great football and improved in every game. In the final we came up against the girls from Derrychrin who proved to be too strong for us despite a strong battle performance. Thank you to St Peter’s Moortown for inviting us, the girls were delighted with their silver medals.
Our next girls blitz was in St Canices Dungiven. Nine teams in all participated. Despite playing well in the group stages we lost out on making the finals. But a visit to the ice cream van and photographs with Mr McGuigan, seemed to cheer up our girls. The final saw Saint Canice play Saint Colmcille’s with Saint Canice girls emerging as champions.
