I’m On My Way! 🦢
22nd Jan 2024
Whooper swans spend their winters in Northern Ireland; they arrive from Iceland in late autumn, returning north again in the spring. They will often feed on fields during the day, eating crops like leftover potatoes and grain, before heading to roost on Lough Neagh.
The children have been learning about the Whooper Swan and they had great fun creating their own pastel drawing of this magnificent bird.
