Return to School

26th Aug 2022

Welcome Back

I hope you and your family are safe and well, have had a lovely holiday and are having opportunities to enjoy the remainder of the summer break together.

We are very much looking forward to all our pupils returning to school next week as we embark on another school year together.

Start Dates

P1 children commence the year with a phased return. Parents have been advised of individual starting dates.  Group 1 (youngest) P1 & P7 - Wednesday 31st August - 9am to 12pm. Just for this day school doors open at 8.50am. All other children return to school on Thursday 1st September for a normal school day. P1 parents have their start dates in their induction packs.

School doors open at 8.30am.

LESSONS BEGIN AT 8.45 am.

Pupils in after this time are missing out.

Attendance

Attendance and timekeeping will be a priority for the school this year. We would expect pupils from classes P2 to P7 to walk independently to their entry points and parents should remain outside the main gates to reduce footfall within the school grounds. Staff will be at morning entry points and will escort any young child/children who may need support to their classroom. Please inform all adults that collect your child/children of these arrangements.

P1 pupils should be collected at 12.00pm until the 16th September. Please wait for the children to be walked to the front yard.

P2 and P3 pupils will be collected from the playground at 1.45pm.

P4 - P7 pupils will be walked to the yard for collection at 2.45pm.

Parents and members of the public will not be permitted to enter the school building unless prior authorisation has been agreed. If a parent wishes to speak to a class teacher/principal they should contact the school office and a telephone appointment can be arranged or use the individual teacher email addresses.

School Meals

School dinners will be served from Thursday 1st September. School dinners cost £2.60 daily and £13 weekly. Please send correct money in the dinner envelope sent home from the school. If you think you are entitled to free school meals you must apply online. Apply Online

Please note: Until your application is processed you will be required to pay for school meals.   The menu for first term will be available on the school website before Thursday 1st September.
