RESPECT As we begin our school year, it is important that we set out our standards for respect from the beginning. Simple things like a smile, good eye contact or a “hello” can make a huge difference when forming relationships with new friends and helping others. Small gestures towards others show that you value them and will help to build respect. In the month of September we will be focusing on the Christian value - RESPECT. This is also one of our Key School values. As a whole school community, we will be discussing what RESPECT means and what it should look like within each classroom. We will be looking at: How we show respect for each other and adults in the school community. How children are encouraged to value and respect their own and other people’s belongings. How children are encouraged to show tolerance by accepting feelings, habits or beliefs, racial or ethnic origins that are different from their own. What patience, kindness and good manners should look like in our classroom.   [Open Document] | ☕ Coffee Morning ☕ - Friends Of Mullinahoe - Coffee Morning on Sunday 28th of September from 12.00 - 2.00 pm in the Ardboe Community Centre. Safer Internet Day

7th Feb 2024

The 2024 edition of Safer Internet Day took place on Tuesday, 6 February 2024. This special celebration, which takes place in February of each year, aims to raise awareness of a safer and better internet for all, and especially for children and young people.

The event has grown year-on-year, and it is now celebrated in approximately 170 countries worldwide!

During this event, lots of local and national organisations come together to raise awareness about the best practices in order to protect our safety online. The Safer Internet Day Slogan is, ‘Together for a better internet’.

The children in P3 discussed in depth how to make the internet a safer place for children to use. I was so impressed with their responses to the teacher-led questions and thoughts on how to stay safe online. They worked together to read the PowerPoint on ‘ Together for a Better Internet’ and then the children completed group activities with their friends. They all made a list of safe adults they can turn to when they are worried about anything online.

Thank you P3 for all your wonderful work completed during Safer Internet Day!
