We were delighted to tell the pupils this week that our long overdue toilet refurbishment and extension will be starting this term. Toilet provision in the P1 and P2 area is very limited this is mirrored upstairs in the KS2 area for the P5/6, P6 and P7 pupils. At this stage all the necessary pre-build preparation work has been completed and building work can begin.
There will be a new two story toilet accommodation extension with the two floors having the exact same layout. This work will include internal refurbishment to the existing toilets. The new build will be situated to the right of the current KS1 and KS2 top entrance.
This work will result in some disruption to our day to day school routines and will impact the normal carpark flow. We will do our best to keep parents informed and will do all we can to minimise this disruption.
As with any minor works or contractors within the school, the health and safety of pupils parents and staff will be the key priority. We hope to have the majority of the outside work completed before the internal work starts on the existing toilets inside the school.
