Shoe Box Appeal
As a Catholic school we strive to promote the values of love, faith, diligence, tolerance and respect for others. We want our children to grow up to be hardworking, respectful, good citizens, who know the difference between right and wrong , recognise Christ in everyone and be aware that in the world today there are a great number of pepole who are in need and do not have the same life experiences and opportunities we have. Our children are made aware off and support a wide variety of local and national charities and community projects.
Blythswood is a charity, with a mission to transform lives through the impact of education, community action and various activities. In their Shoe Box Appeal they have sent more than 2.6 million boxes – each one different, each one personal, each one an expression of your care and kindness towards a stranger in need. This year our pupils will be supporting this appeal.
Filled with small, practical items such as toiletries, stationery, and clothing, the individually-wrapped boxes have been distributed in schools, hospitals, orphanages and care homes, and to households in very low income communities.
Please check out the flyers below for more information.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
