Today we were delighted to welcome Co. Down author Declan Carville to our school and to the P4 class. Declan spoke to the children about the books he has written and in particular ‘The Magic Harp’, ‘Nelly Fandango’ and ‘The Fairy Glen’. We had a wonderful afternoon listening to Declan, looking at beautiful original illustrations from his wonderful books, asking questions and finding out about the life and work of this author. 📚✍🏻
Declan was very impressed with the questions he was asked about his work and is convinced that there are future authors and illustrators in our class! 😄🎨
